BIOKIP presents “BEAUTIFUL BOXES”, the first exhibition of the trilogy, that foreshadow to BLOOP the international festival of contemporary art and culture that this summer will overrun the entire island of Ibiza.
BEAUTIFUL BOXES: a taunt, a consideration on appearance, theme of the festival.
In the contemporary world there is a clear imbalance of values between container and content. Containers – beautiful boxes – are they just empty boxes? The will to reach
aesthetic models and behavior deemed successful and “cool” often breeds alienating lifestyles.
In Milan, from 13th to 19th March, at Spazio Via Dante 14, the artists Emilio Cejalvo and Robo, the sculptress Emmanuelle Pacini, the sound designer Digital Genetic Pasta and the video artist Lo Spino are called to offer their interpretation of this concept . Works, sounds and performances will encourage the audience to pierce the veil of Maya, offering its own interpretation of reality through the artistic experience.
The works showed in Milan as part of BEAUTIFUL BOXES are therefore part of the exhibits of the Ibiza BLOOP festival.
BEAUTIFUL BOXES is promoted by BIOKIP, in cooperation with A.M.I.C.I association, and is sponsored by the Council of Ibiza, from the Ibiza Tourist Office and the San Antoni de Portmany Town Council.

Synonymous with proactive art, or rather art to live and experience for a personal enrichment.
BLOOP come back to Ibiza from 15th June to 15th August 2012 after the success of the 2011 zero edition.
Designed and curate by Biokip, the festival has been greeted enthusiastically by the Catalan island Administration that for the next edition has already given many beautiful natural and city areas. Key point is “Faro de ses coves Blanque”, the island headquarter. From here the art spreads and expands throughout the country, involving, enlivening and transforming it. Lights and colors draw a new Ibiza.
Theme: “the appearance”. No longer normal code of everyday phenomenology, it will be analyzed by the artists attending the festival in its contemporary sense, as synonymous with striving for aesthetic and behavioral models considered successful, or “cool”, but that tend to distance us from our way to be, forcing us to an imposed membership by different models. A topic more relevant than ever, handled in a place hallowed to fun as Ibiza is, where, among the most unbridled entertainment and fun, even the most superficial and aberrant forms of the appearance itself are invested by a transfiguring force, that of art, which raises questions and provokes reactions within an aesthetic and unique experience, never banal and always alive.
